11/9/2020 update - 1 of 7
Title:  11/9/2020 update - 1 of 7
Description:  This is the view from Maple Ave., looking to the west. The new chain link fence is in place, separating the track from the trail extension. Note the pile of old rail still remaining from the previous work done in 2019.

Title:  11/9/2020 update - 2 of 7
Description:  Taking a step or two to the left from the previous shot, this is (again) the view from Maple Ave., looking to the west. Nice job on the trail and both fences.

11/9/2020 update - 3 of 7
Title:  11/9/2020 update - 3 of 7
Description:  Stepping inside the gate, this is the view looking back toward Maple Ave. Doesn't look much different from 2019 except for the new chain link fence. Except ...

11/9/2020 update - 5 of 7
Title:  11/9/2020 update - 5 of 7
Description:  The old NYC switch, elderly switch stand and rotting switch timbers have all been pulled. The existing siding is now straight-railed with the connector. The switch parts (points, frog, etc.) are not in the pile at Maple Ave., so I presume they all found new homes.

Title:  11/9/2020 update - 6 of 7
Description:  The derail stand and the old pink derail are gone as well, although the ties remain. In its place is a yellow flop-over derail. Not shown is a second yellow flop-over derail down below on the old engine house lead.

Title:  11/9/2020 update - 7 of 7
Description:  Could use a little stone and tamping, don't you think? It looks like the old kiddie roller coaster at Long Point Park.
