PC 2040 & friends in Charlotte working the west yard - 2 of 2
Title:  PC 2040 & friends in Charlotte working the west yard - 2 of 2
Description:  No, it's not 1975 anymore. This is today's view as of 10/9/2020. The three tracks of the west yard (re-configured more than once since 1975) are now down to one. No more Beebee, no more Russell, no more coal, so no more trains.

PC 9961 in Charlotte
Title:  PC 9961 in Charlotte
Description:  Date approximate. Looks like at least three jobs tied up for the weekend. Coupled with the SW1500 in front, the first one appears to be the State St. job. The others are probably for the Hojack.

PC 7604 - shot 7 of 10
Title:  PC 7604 - shot 7 of 10
Description:  Charlotte Runner heading back to Goodman St. Crossing Hague St. The track heading off to the right connects to the Abandon and points east to Kent St. The elderly diamond crossing guard protects the Abandon as it heads west to the Falls Rd., directly behind the green Oldsmobile. Hard to tell in this photo whether the rails are still working or paved over. The hump is still there today, but the high power lines center and right are gone, as are the RR signal poles, also right.

Title:  SP&S on the Charlotte Runner - 1 of 3 - Greenleaf Road crossing
Description:  July 1976 (date approximate). Bob Zimmerman must have been out that same day. Note: I added "SP&S 4064" as a reference even though it's a BN unit, technically. This site lists both.

Charlotte diamond
Title:  Charlotte diamond
Description:  Charlotte diamond looking south. Date approximate. Note the green transfer caboose, DeWitt geep, SW1500 and station in the background. Note also the inside guard rail on the track heading to the swing bridge. Everything in this photo needs to be picked up and tamped, but that's not going to happen in the PC era.
