EL 3319 - 2 of 2
Title:  EL 3319 - 2 of 2
Description:  The EL led freight has stopped directly across from the tower. The old Goodman St. overpass is far left. The PC led local has "normal" power for that era - an RS32, a pair of GP9Bs, what appears to be a 7600 series RS11, and a Dewitt geep. Everything in this picture has since been scrapped, including the bridge!

SP&S on the Charlotte Runner - 1 of 3 - Greenleaf Road crossing
Title:  SP&S on the Charlotte Runner - 1 of 3 - Greenleaf Road crossing
Description:  July 1976 (date approximate). Bob Zimmerman must have been out that same day. Note: I added "SP&S 4064" as a reference even though it's a BN unit, technically. This site lists both.

1st Belt job at Ridge Rd.
Title:  1st Belt job at Ridge Rd.
Description:  Date approximate. RS32 2040 leads a GP9B, RS11 and a DeWitt geep in this morning shot. The B&O is out of sight to the right. The funny looking structure to the left is the billboard platform.

PC 1775 and others in 1972 - shot 1 of 3
Title:  PC 1775 and others in 1972 - shot 1 of 3
Description:  This shot is from February 1972 in the PC days. I'm standing a few hundred feet south of Ridge Rd. on the east side of the NYC, pointing the camera north. What looks to be structure on the extreme right is actually the billboard close to the Ridge, so that should give you an idea of the location and distance. B&O 6541 and 5928 are waiting patiently on the B&O main for the Kodak security guard to arrive and open up the gate. The 1st Belt job is returning from Charlotte with F's 1775, 1784 and ? running elephant style and GP9B 3827 tucked in the rear. RS-1's were the norm in the '60s, followed briefly by RS2/3's. Before the second generation Alcos (RS-32 and similar) arrived, PC got their monies' worth out of the last of the first generation EMDs by putting them in local service. F7A-GP9B-F7A lash-ups were common on Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse local jobs.
